Professional Development

HHA will be including the following service offerings as part of our SW Curriculum Bundle:  
1) Weekly Framework Sessions
2) Professional Development (via a Webinar) - both Pre-Service and In-Service

Weekly Framework Sessions.
As part of the SW Curriculum Bundle, you will receive, via email, the Weekly Framework Sessions to assist you in the implementation of the SW program. These frameworks are considered ongoing professional development support and will help adult leaders maintain a Professional Learning Community (PLC).  They will also be used to share best practices and provide advice on curriculum instruction.

Professional Development Services.
Healthy Heroes Alliance provides Professional Development seminars, both pre-service and in-service, to all teachers, coaches, administrators, and other staff members invested in the successful implementation of the SHAKTI Warriors’ program at their school. These services are offered in a ‘webinar or “on-site’ format.

Pre-Service. Pre-Service training seminars will be conducted by HHA executive staff members and typically takes place two weeks prior to the program launch.  Topics covered include: A complete overview of the SHAKTI Warriors components and curriculum, 'modeled' participation in the experiential, cross-curricular lesson plans, explanation of the Common Core Curriculum Standards (CCCS) alignment, review of the interactive website, review of implementation approach, and on-going support.

In-Service. In-Service training seminars are designed to formatively assess real-time successes, challenges or concerns, and make necessary adjustments observed by those who are actively engaging with students.  These In-Service seminars are conducted throughout the implementation process. These In-Services are an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues regarding deeper experiential practices with program components.
