About Chaos and his minions
SHAKTI Warriors uses many analogical and metaphorical references to stimulate within students
an intrinsic belief in their own ability to enact positive change in their own lives.
Our ‘bad guys’, called ‘Chaos and his minions’, are used to represent the negative forces that
pervade our society and influence our children. These negative forces could be analogies for
characteristics such as: laziness, bad attitude, indifference, selfishness, anger, low self-esteem,
violence, bullying, obesity, lying, etc. Through our curriculum children are taught to first
recognize when the minions are present and taught various coping strategies for dealing with
these negative forces.
Ultimately, SHAKTI and her Warriors leave it up to the children to determine when minions are
present and which minions are lurking. They are taught that they can overcome ‘Chaos’ by
awakening both the super ‘HERO’ and super ‘HUMAN’ powers – that resides within each of them!
